Lucy Fennell

Lucy is a director, theatre maker and highly experienced facilitator. As a performer she specialises in improvisation and comedy and is a member of ‘Impromptu Shakespeare’ and ‘Bumper Blyton- The Improvised Adventure’. She is currently working on her first solo theatre show ‘High Dive’ (working title).

Lucy has been performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for the last seven years in improv, stand up and sketch shows and regularly performs on the London Improv circuit. She starred in web series ‘Supercreeps’ by Wildseed studios and has also appeared in the BAFTA award winning educational web series ‘History Bombs’.  She is also experienced in immersive and interactive theatre and uses her improv and poetry skills to create exciting one-off performances at festivals and events.

Lucy is a specialist provider of arts education and outreach, creating projects with community groups and schools, and providing consultancy services for clients such as the NHS.  She has considerable experience working with young people and as a youth theatre director and has worked as a sessional lecturer at University of the Creative Arts, teaching the devised theatre unit.

She is passionate about new writing, comedy, ensemble theatre, improvisation, physical theatre and contemporary performance.
